Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Social Media Guardian, INC (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Alex at https://www.alexsocial.app/, including when you text our SMS number (shown at https://www.alexsocial.app/sms). It is meant to be read together with our Terms of Service.

SMS / text messaging (for carriers and Twilio)

We collect and use your mobile phone number and the content of messages you send to or receive from Alex so we can operate a two-way customer-care SMS program (onboarding, verification codes, post status, and review links).

• We do not sell your phone number or SMS logs, and we do not share them with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.
• We do not send SMS advertising campaigns to purchased lists. We message people who texted our number or who already have an Alex account.
• Reply STOP to opt out of SMS. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

Information we collect

• Identity and contact: name, mobile number, email address, and verification timestamps.
• SMS and in-app messages: message body, direction, time, and optional photos you send (for example listing photos).
• Business profile: industry, city/state, website, title, public contact info, social profile URLs, brand colors and images, and — for real estate professionals — brokerage, license numbers/states, MLS names, and related profile fields you provide or confirm after a website scan.
• Content you request: post requests, captions, approvals, feedback, and generated creatives.
• Technical: cookies for login sessions, approximate logs needed to operate and secure the service.

If you give us a website URL during signup, we may fetch that page to suggest industry, location, colors, and contact details. We do not invent license numbers. You confirm before we save a scan.

How we use information

• Create and authenticate your account (including email magic links and SMS codes)
• Send and receive service SMS through our messaging provider
• Draft, review, and store social posts you request
• Apply your brand kit and required advertising attribution
• Run automated compliance checks on advertising copy
• Provide operator support (Studio) when you ask our team for help
• Improve reliability and prevent abuse

How we share information

We share information with processors who help us run Alex, only as needed for that role:

• Twilio — delivers SMS and may process opt-out keywords such as STOP.
• Hosting and database providers — store accounts, messages, and posts.
• AI / image providers — receive prompts and materials needed to draft copy or images (for example your request text, brand colors, and listing facts).
• Email provider — if we send verification or login email.
• Social publishing tools you connect — to post on your behalf after you approve.
• Legal and safety — if required by law or to prevent harm or fraud.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile-opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for those parties’ marketing.

Retention

We keep account, SMS, and post records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can review history and so we can meet legal, security, and accounting needs. You may ask us to delete your account; we will delete or de-identify personal data unless we must keep a limited record (for example STOP requests, or data we are legally required to retain).

Cookies and login

Customer dashboard login uses an HTTP-only session cookie. Studio operators use a separate access cookie. These are necessary for the product to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on these pages.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to end SMS
• Use your account dashboard to update profile and brand information
• Email pestes@gosocialagent.com to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information, or to ask privacy questions

If you are in a place that grants additional rights (for example certain US state privacy laws), we will honor requests we are required to honor when we can verify them.

Children

Alex is for adults operating a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 18 for this service).

Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport, hashed login tokens, and restricted database access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version at this URL with a new effective date.
